Calroc – Major Junior Partner

  • May 30, 2024

Olympic Kingsway is pleased to announce CALROC as its Major Junior Partner in 2024.

The partnership is Olympic’s most significant of season and will further strengthen the investment made by the club into its junior programs, providing the best possible infrastructure and equipment for the next generation of Green Machine players.

Kingsway is proud of its continual commitment to providing children with the best opportunities to develop as footballers and enjoy community football at all levels.

Former Socceroo and Perth Glory head coach Richard Garcia played his first senior game for Olympic at age 15 and is in his second season back at Kingsway as the club’s Technical Director. He welcomed the partnership with Calroc and says it’s a signal of the club’s ambition to continue their progress in the junior space.

“Our aim is to be the premium academy in WA and to create a platform for young players to flourish,” Garcia said.

“Having a sponsor partner like Calroc who align with our values in helping young players grow and develop is of great importance. They are just as excited about the club’s vision as we are, which is a key part of making our plans a reality.”

Calroc Founder Liam McKinney is also thrilled to continue his long-standing relationship with the club and is optimistic of a bright future at Kingsway Reserve.

“Our family has been involved with Olympic Kingsway for the past six years since our eldest started playing in the U6 clusters in 2018. In that time, we have seen him make so many friends on and off the pitch, and have surrounded ourselves with a great football community,” McKinney said.

“We love watching our three boys play matches but also love being part of the bigger picture at Kingsway. The NPL matches where our boys have been mascots, the markets on a Saturday, the pizza nights and trophy days, they all add up to fostering a great sense of community.

“We love the vision Olympic Kingsway has for its future as a club for all. It’s a place where children who want to play at an elite level can be challenged and children who want to play ball with their friends have a welcoming space to do that as well.

“The club has made significant changes since Richard Garcia came on board and we have seen him steer the club’s junior programs in an exciting strategic direction. We have heard some of the plans for the bigger picture which lies ahead for Kingsway, and the future is looking very green!”
